This part matters because it keeps everything fair, easy to track, and easy to explain. The goal is not just to send people. The goal is to make aligned introductions and keep the payout rules clean.

The referral needs to be someone Joe is not already actively connected to, or it needs to be clear that your encouragement directly caused the referral to happen.

If Joe is already in active conversation with that person, he will let you know.

If someone is already encountering Joe through an event, speaking engagement, or community context where connection exposure is already part of the value, a referral fee only applies if it is clearly your direct effort that caused the sign-up.

Referral payouts are sent after the person has started and paid.
